Job Purpose
“To develop and successfully implement 1) Retail people strategy and 2) Leadership learning and development initiatives which are strategically aligned with the Company Transformation Strategy, Vision & Mission & Values and Leadership Competencies, and the China Business Plan. 3) Support the development of curriculum in TRU China Campus, ensuring alignment with Asia Head Office”.
Learning and Development
? Develop mainland China training plan and support store and office training activities as required to meet business needs, budget allocation and control.
? Build best practice and roll out Mainland China wide initiatives as part of learning cycle.
? To facilitate regular meetings with Head of Human Resources to review effectiveness of training activities and gain feedback and ideas for input into future training plans and activities.
? To make recommendation for changes and develop a process of continuous improvement based on business needs. To identify strategic initiatives to drive business performance e.g Toys expert and customer service ambassador, omni channel activities and make recommendations on how these may be implemented in business.
? To work closely with head of retail excellence, ensure that critical retail training eg: product knowledge training at Mainland China and local level is supported appropriately to ensure best learner experiences.
? To build strong relationships and facilitate an open working relationship across Mainland China to ensure that training initiatives are fully supported to achieve agreed objectives.
? To plan, organize and manage assigned training activities and projects, within budget, ensuring regular feedback and updates to key stakeholders as required.
? To create effective business partnerships with the Business Leaders and Asia Head Office which stimulates transfer of training, return on training investment and improves overall competence of staff.
? To facilitate activities using experiential learning techniques to maximize learning opportunities and buy in to the Toys R US culture.
? To leverage internal and external resources to assist in the learning process.
Performance Management
? To develop and build performance culture, and facilitate execution, to support business to win.
? To custodian company management and development cycle, aligning both local and Aisia Head Office agenda, and facilitate for smooth and effective execution of initiatives in the cycle. (objective setting, Interim review, coaching & feedback, year end review & calibration, etc).
? To play COE role supporting HRBPs on performance management, process, tool, methodology, documentation, etc.
? To develop and facilitate recognition and feedback initiatives at different levels, proactively build positive and constructive way managing performance.
? To be the expert on performance management system, process, tools, etc. and enable others forexecution.
Talent Management
? To facilitate and coordinate Talent Management review process, including project planning, measurement, reporting and communications
? To manage succession planning and talent pipeline building initiatives to support company business development needs.
? To provide coaching to help individuals identify appropriate resources and interventions to most effectively accomplish their personal objectives.
Job Requirements
? Bachelor Degree or above
? At least 8 years related working experience in L&D of retail industry.
? Experience in organization transformation is a plus
? Passionate in people
? Have good presentation skills.
? Have good interpersonal communication skills.
? Be willing and good at hearing people out widely.
? Demonstrate the ability of mentoring and coaching others
