Position Summary

Maintain existing software tools and develop new applications required for the reliable production of Moovita’s autonomous fleet.

The Production Software Engineer is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the seamless integration and deployment of software systems in our autonomous bus fleet.


This individual will work closely with software developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure that software is deployed during production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Deployment: Manage the end-to-end process of deploying software in manufacturing of new autonomous buses, including planning, testing, and execution.


  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during software deployment, working with cross-functional teams to diagnose and fix problems. This includes calibrating and testing algorithms during production.


  • Tool Development: develop tools for software production processes to enhance process and improve the quality of software deployment.


  • Collaboration: Work closely with software developers to understand software changes and their potential impact on bus operations, providing feedback and recommendations to improve the deployment process.


  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of software deployment procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.


  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of software deployment processes, implementing best practices and automation tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: In Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in software deployment or DevOps roles, preferably in a production environment.

  • Technical Skills: Linux experience. Strong understanding of software deployment tools, configuration management, and version control systems. Able to code in C++ and Python. Willing to pick up Javascript.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.

  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. English is a plus.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Autonomous Vehicle Experience: Experience with autonomous vehicle software or systems is a plus.

Independent: able to work independently.
