We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Product Management Practice Associate
This Role involves:
Product Strategy
1. Drive the execution of the Product Management strategy and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) in line with HSBC's ambition
2. Centre product management strategy on the needs of CTO customers, colleagues including GBGFs
Customer Focus
3. Drive a customer-centric approach to product management, ensuring that the bank's technology products meet the needs of its customers
Product Lifecycle Management
4. Empower CTO Product teams with skills to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, including product ideation, delivery, and demise
5. Upskill CTO and GBGF teams on product management practices through teaching/pilots/coaching/mentoring, providing direct support to meet tangible outcomes
Product Management Framework and Operating Model
6. Provide thought leadership and build out the Product Management practice capabilities, framework, and operating model
7. Design and test an effective operating model that aligns with the CTO's strategic product-oriented objectives
8. Implement CTO's product operating model so that the organization is structured to deliver end-to-end value for the customer
9. Drive continuous improvement, identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, ensuring they are sustained over time
10. Monitor the effectiveness of the operating model in line with internal and market trends and make necessary adjustments
11. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data to influence decision-making
Stakeholder Management
12. Work alongside key stakeholders to embed new cultures and ways of working, both among the leadership and their teams
13. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate them into the product management framework
Qualifications - External
1. 5+ years of experience in product management/ownership, operating model design, design thinking with a proven track record of successful product launches and growth
2. Direct experience in delivering and launching digital products and solutions (B2C, B2B)
3. Strong Business Analysis / Requirements skills
4. Experience delivering at various stages of the project lifecycle, knowledge of Project Management, Business Analysis, and/or SDLC - ideally in an Agile / Scrum environment
5. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
6. Coaching/training individuals and teams with varying levels of experience
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
8. Aptitude to learn and quickly pick up new ideas
9. Comfortable with experimentation, testing ideas and sharing learnings and insights
10. Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and being outside your comfort zone
11. Able to challenge thinking and influence across the organization
12. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
13. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
14. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
15. Experience of winning hearts and minds and putting people at the heart of the transformation
16. Proactive and willing to lead initiatives for improvement and to resolve issues
17. Experience using a range of prioritization tools
18. Use of workflow management tools – for example Jira or Rally – to help teams visualize their work
19. Communication and content creations skills: this could include blogging, creating short videos, speaking to large audiences (often on Zoom), delivering classroom training, etc.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
